Where Oh Where did my Little Gopher go…aka Happy 70th Gilligan

Our count was not the 20s, as it has been for the last couple of weeks, but then again the humidity was not in the upper half of the scope either. Don’t misunderstand, it was still July in Georgia, and it was still hot and sticky, just not unreasonably so. We gathered, we laughed but ultimately, we got down to business.
YHC borrowed bits and pieces from a few Qs, we did some of Seles run-stance-switch, some of Potter’s squats and even a little F3 yoga. All of it was X15 and then X10 and all of it that required movement was in cadence: Side Straddle Hop, Imperial Walkers, Squats, Cotton Pickers and Stone Mountains separated by a little plank and yoga. There was some upward facing dog (or was it Cobra) and even a little downward facing dog. But enough of all that, time to get it on. Let’s mosey, down the hill down the steps, to the stumps and benches.
For a set of 11s – Dips and Derkins on the stumps, and there was not a dry shirt in the group.
Enough of that, off we went. We went up, we went down, we went up again and we went down, and by the time all was done, we arrived at the top of DNC where we planked for the 6.
A quick ten count and we were off, just a quick jaunt to the fire station for a little pyramid – OYO – 2 up to 12 and back down to 2 – Merkins, Squats, and LBCs.
Mosey across Roberts, and down the back side of Austin to the cul-de-sac, where we circled up and planked for the 6…who never came. (not sure where, but at some point we lost Gopher – rumor has it, it had to do with Gilligan’s 70th – Scout did recon)
Time for some Mary. All IC and X15 – Rosalita, Lolalita (ChainGang’s name for low dolly), Obliques (left and right). Pause for big block Alphabet. Mason Twist, low flutter and ABCs.
Off we went, across the wood chip trail to the THOP – 1/3 of us went in, while the rest of us did alternating sets of Merkins and Dips – all OYO – 1st round 15 and then 10 on the 2nd round. When were not doing dips and incline merkins, it was 10 pull-ups, any way you can.
Mosey down the hill, past the stumps, up the path, up the steps, up the ramp, down the steps and up the hill and back to the parking lot.
40 air presses, 20 small arm circles (forward and then back). Finally 10 HRMs OYO.

Prayers for Vera as her journey in Boston begins, hopefully to a path of recovery. Prayers for our brothers nursing wounds and for those that ignored the DRP and chose the fartsack over the pain and sweat. Prayers for those travelling.
We officially have two PAX in their 70s and we will rib both of them on Tuesday.
Sign up genius is seeing more use lately, but we still could use some other brothers to step up and Q. Whether is just leading a run or bike ride on Friday, or splitting a beat down with a brother.
