Humidity Time is Here

When: 6/23/17

QIC: Ha-ha

PAX (): Devito, Lawdog, Peanut, Hickory Stick, TO and Ha-ha

6 PAX arrived at Mugs for our Friday morning run.  It has been raining on and off all week and the humidity was thick in the air with temps in the low 70s. In an attempt to provide a run experience for faster and slower runners YHC had two routes planned: a 4.7 mile for the 10ish pace runners and a 5.3 mile route for the 9ish pace runners with both groups starting and finishing on the same street. With a nod to Cheech and some high viz gear on we moved out.

Both groups left downtown on Academy St. The 4.7 mile group turned on Westside and ran through Avalon to Old Milton, right on Old Milton to Westside back to Academy and back to downtown. 5.3 mile group also ran down Academy but then crossed 400, right on Morris, right on Old Milton back across 400 to Westside, right to return to Academy and back to downtown.  The faster  group caught up with the slower group just as we were getting back to Academy for the long hill back to downtown.

Good hard work by everyone today.  The humidity was at epic proportions today but everyone powered through it. Tclaps to Peanut who continued on to make his 1/2 marathon training goal for today. Good to have Lawdog down from The Kodiak. Devito and Hickory Stick are always strong and great to have TO back out this morning. We all got our sweat on this morning.

Prayers for Cheech’s family, friends and F3 Lexington. Ailing parents and safe travels for vacations.

New run group at the Big Creek AO on Monday mornings.  The Fire Swamp meets at the skate park / greenway trail head at 5:30am Mondays. Multiple pace options at that run as well.
