Climbing and Climbing and not Getting Any Higher

AO: The Gladiator

When: 06/04/2019

QIC: Tebow

PAX (19): Mufasa, Spandex, Scar, DC2, Hobo, Twitch, Matlock (FNG), Zohan, Shrinkage, Puddle Jumper, Delicious, Stroller, Scrum, Sox, Postal, Kegger, Moonshine, Brownie

Preamble:

With Viking bowing out, someone had to grab the Q so YHC raised his hand as nothing pleases me more than leading men through the gloom and I always love an opportunity to lead this group.  Given the monthly elevation challenge, the Q threw in a lot of mountain climbers today… wanted to keep the heart rates up there instead of a regular plank.  The PAX reminded me about every 30 seconds that it didn’t count toward the elevation challenge though… oh well!

Warm-O-Rama:

A quick mosey and circle up for SSH, Hillbillies and Weedpickers… no big deal.

The Thang:

Thang 1:

A trip up the hill to the softball parking lot for side straddle suicides. Sprint one parking space, 1 SSH, sprint back, plank for 6, followed by 4 count mountain climbers based on the number of reps. The Q had a hard time remembering what number we were on, but the good news was it kept everyone together. We went through 12 round or so and then just jumped to the end and did 25 SSH and 25 mountain climbers at the end.

Thang 2:

Back to the street by the flag for some 11s. Burpees at the bottom a Big Boi situps at the top… let the mumble chatter begin! The gazelles performed some Mary that included some additional mountain climbers.

Thang 3:

4 corners on the pitch. 20 mercans, 20 monkey humpers (gotta get these in with an FNG in the house), 20 squats, 20 Bonnie Blairs (another great one for the FNG!). We bear crawled the short sides and ran backwards on the long end. Mountain climbers for the 6.  My apologies to the 6 for not waiting until you were all the way in.

Rinse and repeat with 15 reps and…. more mountain climbers for the 6.

Time was running short so it was back to the flag for some box cutters led by Brownie and YHC tried to give DC an opportunity to call some American Hammers but he passed it to Mufasa who has the best cadence call at the Gladiator.

COT:

Prayers for the Kaiser family as they are dealing with the unexpected passing of a mother.  As someone who lost his mother at 23, I know all too well that no matter how old you are, no one loves you like your mama and she will always be missed.

There is a ruck leaving from the Rubicon tonight at 9pm. Mufasa would love for any of his Gladiator brothers  to join him for one of these outings.

The Wreck 5 year anniversary is tomorrow, get it together and come out if you can, should be a pretty massive crowd!

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Thanks to you all for letting me lead, I love this group of men and you are always building me up. God bless and lets be great men out in the world today.

Tebow out.
