I’m not a fan of the Widowmaker. There I said it. I love the workout, but I like staying up a little late on Friday night and not getting up early on Saturday morning. However, to accelerate, I need that Saturday extended push. I knew that one way for me to hold myself accountable to go today was to sign up to Q. Here’s what went down…
Mosey from the flag around the parking lot, then circled up for some SSHs, Weed Pickers, and Imperial Walkers- 10 IC counts. Next, we moseyed over to the coupon pile where YHC gave some confusing and vague instructions regarding the type of coupon needed. To acquaint ourselves with the coupons we did 10 IC half up curls, half down curls, and then 10 full curls.
Moseyed with coupon to the bottom of the widowmaker.
BOMBS…paired with the song “Bomb Track” by Rage Against the Machine
4 Rounds of 5 Burpees, 10 Overhead Clap Lunges, 15 Merkins, 20 Big Boy Sit-ups, and 25 Squats with a mosey up the hill to the manhole and back
**the rabbits were rewarded with AMRAP BOMBS until the six was in, minus the run.
Sally: YHC read an article about the “Sally Challenge”. Queued up the Moby for some Makhtar N’Diayes Sally.
Swings/Goblet Squats: 20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2 rep counts of each exercise.
Mosey back to the flag for some Mary, round robin style.
Prayers up for Big South’s family during this time, a good reminder to keep your head on a swivel while biking/running, and for our community during this time.
I am glad we are getting back to living and from the reports I’ve seen it looks like the number of cases are flattening out. The way forward has to be a balanced approach and now more than ever we as HIMs need to step up and be that calming influences in the circles we run in.
