PAX: Spandex, Shrinkage, Speedo, Stroller, Delicious, High Chair
YHC has still been a little skeptical about gathering for beatdowns, but needs it, so showed up with a solid plan to keep us apart, together.
The Q thinks he actually did a pretty good job on this front so it can be done – but it definitely helps to have a smaller group.
Mosey over to the far side of the rec center for some SSH, Hillbillies, and Windmills.
We started with a merkin waterfall. We each planked in adjacent parking spaces while the first man did 3 merkins then ran down the line while the rest of us planked. On the second row, 5 merkins, 3rd row – 5 and then 10. This turned out to be a little easier than expected… maybe because we didn’t have to jump over each other going down the line.
A mosey back to the flag and 11s on YHC’s favorite hill. Round 1 – squats at the top and 4 count Rocky Balboas at the bottom – a quick lap around the parking lot for the 6. Round 2 – burpees at the top and 2 count lunges at the bottom… this certainly got the heart rate up. Gazelles did some extra credit to finish together.
Last thang, a little suicide Mucho Chesto across the parking lot to close us out. A final lap facing away from the rec center the whole time so some side shuffles and backwards.
A couple of minutes of Mary called by the PAX. We did some stuff.
Praise from Spandex as his wife dodged some major layoffs at work. Prayers for Spandex’s friend Shane who has had some life struggles and is working on dealing with it. Praise for Shrinkage’s father in law who had been hospitalized but is doing well.
Prayers for those that are sick or have had econonic impact from the coronavirus.
There will be a ruck on Saturday launching from Newtown Park at 0630… I think, confirm with Speedo and the plan is to go about 11 miles.
