AO: The Hurt Locker

It all started on the eve of Cinco de Mayo as YHC was desperately scouting the AO at dusk for CSAUP ideas for the next day beatdown that would not involve the aforementioned obvious theme du jour. Walking past the reflecting pond YHC came up to a freshly cut grassy path leading up to a hill. That’s when it all came together…

The Mission

The hill would be the objective with our cherished F3 flag “stolen” by the enemy for the occasion. The PAX, turned patrol for the day, would receive its OPORD by the pond after a solid warm-up on its muddy banks as the day broke.

The rucking crew (Bloodhound, Babyface, Misty & YHC) had performed a long-range patrol  early to RECON the objective under the cover of darkness

Quick pace to the RP, drop the gear to lighten up for the final assault and proceed with tactical approach (Army crawl) to the objective, wait for the six, camo up your face with some nice red Georgia clay, get your best war face on and rush the hill while screaming at the top of your lungs… (@F3C4 got there first and secured the flag). Account for all personnel and mosey back down to RP to pick up the equipment and return to ORP for debriefing by a different route, because… “Don’t ever march home the same way. Take a different route so you won’t be ambushed” (Rogers Standing Order #11)

Return to base, drop the sand babies and double time back up to the tennis courts area for some BLIMPS & Dips separated by sprints and fences…

Lunges X20, sprint & climb 2 Fences, perform 10 dips, sprint & climb back fences to next exercise…

Imperial Walker X30, sprint & climb 2 Fences, perform 10 dips, sprint & climb back fences to next exercise…

Merkins X40, sprint & climb 2 Fences, perform 10 dips, sprint & climb back fences to next exercise…

Plank Jacks X50, sprint & climb 2 Fences, perform 10 dips, sprint & climb back fences to next exercise…
