YHC rolled up for the pre-run and was then joined by four other eager HIM. Some of us did fartlek training, it’s not what you think… When we returned to the flag, an impressive group had assembled.
Quick disclaimer and then a mosey around the parking lot.
Then the standard warmup with one new one for the Gladiator:
Side Straddle Hops
We ran through the darkness to get to the center of the baseball diamonds, where YHC knew there were some short walls. We spread out and did some Merkin Cycles, which was 10 each of the following:
Hand Release Merkins
Then, rinse and repeat.
Then, rinse and repeat again.
Next, we moseyed the long way over to the upper lot by the pavilion. YHC introduced the Gladiator PAX to my friend Cooper. That consisted of:
10 big boy situps
Run a lap around the parking lot
Then decrease the reps by 1, and run another lap, until you get to 1 rep, and run your last lap. It was a fair bit of running, for sure.
While waiting for the six: flutter kicks, Dolly, LBCs, J-Lo, something else.
Then we moseyed to the pavilion by the football field and partnered up. It was Balls To The Wall (BTTW) time! The PAX were excited for sure. One partner would BTTW for 1 minute while the partner did Al Gore. Then we switched. Nice job, men!
Then mosey back to the flag for some Mary:
Since it was still Avengers weekend, we did some Peter Parkers and American Hammer.
Thankful for the HIM that organized and participated in the Tillman Run, good job, men!
Prayers for the week, stay strong!
It was an honor to lead today, YHC really likes visiting the Gladiator, what a great group of men. Thank you, and I will be back, but my friend Cooper will not.
