Never Flippin Tired

When: 4/15/17

QIC: Babyface

PAX (): Banjo, Westside, Misty, The Mole, Wham-O

Not going to lie, it’s mornings like today’s that YHC is glad to be alive.  The weather was great, the sun was shining at the beginning of the beatdown, and FINALLY we had even numbers for a partner workout that YHC had planned.  So with joy in my heart and a plan in my head, we started the day.

Warm up:

Moseyed to the back of the school where the tires reside then did a little more movement prep:

IC:

15 SSH

10 Cotton Pickers

10 imperial walkers

OYO 10 Burpees

The Thang:

As YHC called for us to partner up, I made sure to note that we were not going to have to be carrying our partners, as to eliminate any hesitation of grabbing Westside as a partner.  Next the groups moseyed over to the pile of tires that are scattered around for those younger chaps that also use the school for things like learning and socializing.  The tires had water in them so YHC know theses boys haven’t been outside rolling them around too recently, YHC has noticed the pile looked a little lonely in the past.  So we made good use of them.  There are two good sized tires and one Big, no is moving it tire, along with a collection of smaller tires.  After the 2 decent sized tires were taken the pairing of Westside/Misty looked at the Big Bertha but decided better of it and took a smaller doughnut instead.  Out to the parking lot we went.

Partner up Partner A runs the bus loop while Partner B began his 50 Tire Flips.  When B was done with his 50 he began his run, and when A returned he did  10 burpees then then planked until his partner finished the flips.  When his partner finished he started his 50 tire flips.  This continued down the ladder from 50 to 40 to 30 to 20 to 10.  When finished Plank until the rest of the group finished.  After watching Westside flip his tire like it was a hamburger we decided to make a little rotation so that everyone got a crack at the bigger tires.  At the end, it didn’t matter much everyone seemed sufficiently tired.  But we still had about 20 minutes so the fun continued.

Mosey up the stairs to find a wall or benches for Aiken Legs:

Done in succession with no rest — 20 Squats, 20 Box Jumps, 20 Lunges (10 each leg), 20 Split Jacks (10 each leg forward). 10 Count Recovery. Rinse and Repeat 2 more times.  On the first go around The Mole thought it was a good idea to jump all the way to the top of the picnic table top, the dude is always pushing it, TClaps for him.

Moseyed to the Flag

Mary almost everyone had a chance to lead an exercise.

COT

Moleskin

  • Wham-O went 3 for 3 after starting with us on MOnday, awesome to have him aboard.  He has also signed up for our team to run the spartan race in October.  There is still room for more if anyone wants to join.  Again TClaps
  • 2nd F at Sweet Escapes this morning was great.  It’s a nice little meeting spot that was all to ourselves.
