Its a “Good Friday” for a Long Run

When: 4/14/2017

QIC: Ha-ha

PAX (): Crack, Hickory Stick, Def Con II, Gingivitis, FNG Fiat

Its not often that we get a FNG to show up for a first post at Hoppy-like but we are always glad to welcome one in. We also welcomed a visitor from Clemson, Gingivitis who is in town for the weekend.

After a quick disclaimer we set out for a decent into the dark abyss of the greenway.  Down Old Milton Parkway across 400 to the greenway (almost all down hill) with a stop by the QuickTrip for a, ah, quick trip. Then about a mile south on the greenway to Kimball Bridge and then west on Kimball Bridge back to Old Milton Parkway (almost all uphill).  We had some PAX that needed to bug out early to get to other obligations early this morning so they turned around “early” which was really about half way so not much help.  The guys that turned around early ran 6.7 miles.  Those of us who stayed the course ran 7 miles.

A long run this morning but a good one.  A reminder of the good our savior did on a Friday long ago as he hung on a cross for the sin of the whole world.

FNG Jim is now Fiat.  Welcome Fiat.  See you in the gloom again soon.
