Q-llaboration on the fly

AO: Big Creek

When: 03/05/2019

QIC: Whiz

PAX (6): Whiz, Bell, Bartman, Dumpster, Hammer, Snake

Preamble:

The gloom was biting cold this morning and the temptation to stay in the warmth was strong.  But, the DRP isn’t going to take itself and deceleration begins the first day you don’t take it.  6 strong HIM answered the call but no flag or assigned Q to be found.  5:29 and YHC offered to take up the helm for an impromptu Q-llaboration on the fly.

Warm-O-Rama:

The usua-rama:

SSH, copperhead squats, hillbillies, weed pickers all IC

* interesting side note:  YHC posted in Seattle last week and they call them daisy pickers.

The Thang:

Theme of the day was 10-20-30 and the idea was to wander around to different locations doing mini routines with those rep counts.

Thang 1:

grab a coupon and gather at the bottom of Kill-a-man-jaro

  • Round 1
    • 10 rockees, backwards mosey halfway up hill, 20 merkins, mosey back down hill, 30 V-ups
  • Round 2
    • 10 genuines, mosey with coupon up to speed bump, 20 shoulder press, mosey back down hill, 30 curls
  • Round 3
    • 10 rock-a-bye-babies, bear crawl to fire hydrant, 20 jump squats, duck walk back down hill, 30 LBC

Thang 2:

mosey over to the rec center to look for something else to do.  someone mentioned some stuff around back so off we went to find a new area I never knew existed (thanks Bartman!)

Round 1

  • 10 jump ups on planter, run around building perimeter, 20 dips, run around building, 30 step-ups

Round 2

  • 10 derkins on planter, raccoon crawl length of retaining wall, 20 incline merkins, reverse raccoon crawl same wall, 30 leg lifts IC together on fence

Head back to the flag with a black mamba run where Bell called an audible and sprinted back the last 75 yards back…solid.

We were technically out of time but YHC decided to squeeze in 21 crunchy frogs IC for good measure

COT:

Not much in the way of announcements this morning.  Prayers for those affected by the crazy weather and tornadoes last weekend.  CSAUP plugs (Hammer’s upcoming trail race and the BRR), also encouragement to come support the Bell Memorial Park launch.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Bell’s burst of energy and grit at the end of the beatdown was awesome.  He smoked himself in the process but T-claps for leaving it all in the gloom in true HIM fashion.  A few short weeks ago he was still dealing with the RNG struggle we’ve all been through and is on the cusp of being ready to take charge and lead the group.  So awesome to see the impact of F3 in other men who are better and stronger because of it.  It’s hard for me to remember life without this brotherhood and I’m more than grateful for it.

AYE!
