With Kegger down for the count, he asked Speedo for an assist. Turns out all Pax assisted and we had a solid workout IMO.
Moseyed around the parking lot to the back of rec center then circled up for some weedpickers, chinooks (arm circles overhead), arm circles straight out to our sides (which Zohan told me the name of twice and I still can’t remember) and some merkin stretches to get us ready for what was to come. Mosey to the pitch for some more fun.
20 squats + 20 jump squats + 20 lunges (10 each leg) + 20 bonnie blairs (done to John Mayer’s ‘Gravity’ for effect)
Air chair for the six
Extinguish any/all thigh fires
Groundhog day…that meaningless day we all pay attention to for 5 seconds then forget, but enjoy the movie regardless. Switching to different muscle groups and from the far corner of the pitch:
Run a full lap
Plank for the 6
Repeat above 2x to give a Groundhog Day-like aura to the morning.
Unbeknownst to most Pax, I removed squats from the list above since we’d already had some leg fun during the earlier exercise. No charge.
In the center circle we learned the words to Que Tire Pa Lante while I explained the next thang.
We counted off, then, going counter-clockwise, we bear-crawled around the circle while each Pax in order would yell their number and do 5 merkins while everyone else planks. Continue until every Pax had done merkins. Quick recovery then repeat, this time clockwise. There were some sadistic and/or forgetful pax who had us bear-crawling a bit too long for my tastes but that’s just me.
Indian run around the pitch then back to the flag for mary including but not limited to:
Buzzsaws (so much fun immediately after JLo’s)
Double time mountain climbers
Praise given for Ponytail’s M as she nears the end of her Leukemia treatments!! And praise as Ponytail is starting as a firefighter later this month!
