Searching for PAX on a cold day

AO: The Gladiator

When: 01/21/2020

QIC: Speedo/Scratchoff

PAX (6): Delicious, Daddy Daycare, Spandex, Cheneral, Scratchoff, Speedo

Preamble:

After some horse-trading on Monday night, Speedo and Scratchoff ending up agreeing to co-Q this BD.  Hoping Manchester and DC2 will quickly recover from the injuries that kept them away.  And you guys owe me and Scratchoff a horse apparently.

Warm-O-Rama:

Mosey to the top parking lot with the pipe dream that more PAX would show up.  At least one guy wished he had twisted his ankle like DC2.

  • 15 SSH
  • 10 Weedpickers
  • 10 Imperial Walkers (after calling them Hillbillies and being edumacated by Spandex on the difference)

Mosey back to the hill on the other side, still looking for some Martins Landing representation but none was to be found.

The Thang:

11’s on the hill.  10 burpees down low, 1 merkin at second street light on hill (you’re welcome for not including a coupon and/or having us run to the top of the hill).  Let’s just say my optimal max heart rate was exceeded just a wee bit.

Handed the Q to Scratchoff who took us to the field.  Modified four corners with 10 each (running between each set to next corner):

  • Monkey Humpers
  • Merkins
  • Burpees (because we hadn’t done enough on the hill)
  • Bonnie Blairs

We then repeated the same four exercises, this time on the goal box and bear crawled to each corner (I’m hoping my shoulders will thank me later).

Repeat above but this time we did 10 each:

  • LBCs
  • BBSUs
  • Dying Cockroach
  • Flutter kicks

When we got to the goal box we did walking lunges between each set.

Back to the flag for a set of Mountain Climbers before calling it at 0600.

COT:

Continued prayers for Spandex sister who had successful surgery last week.  Praise for Scratchoff as he starts week 3 of his new job and actually gets to do some work now that onboarding/training is done.  Praise for Stroller and his M welcoming a new 2.0 to the F3 family.  From photos, it appears everyone is doing well and is healthy.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

For those who feared the cold this morning, it’s really no big deal once you get going.  And if you can’t feel your toes or hands or legs, it’s just fewer body parts that hurt.  Hopefully this will be the coldest week of the winter and we’ll see all your smiling faces back on Thursday (when it’s forecast to be a balmy 33).
