Preamble:

So much going on for this day to get here.  A few years ago TO had a great idea of getting a workout started with the guys at No Longer Bound.  He got he ball rolling and F3 meets with some of the residents of NLB on Wednesdays at 5:15  at Caney Creek Nature Preserve.  I can’t imagine if he ever thought how much impact that decision would have.  One of the original Caney Creek pax (Roll Tide) went on to start F3 Macon.  They now have work outs 6 days a week.

After getting the ball rolling Pothole and Ha-ha have been keeping the lights on at Caney Creek for the past few years.  There is no telling how many guys they have had a positive impact on.

Then comes along Thundermeat Endurance.  Three of our HIM’s decided to start an endurance racing brand during a pandemic.  Bronco, Miller Time, and Pellets obviously have too much time on their hands.  Well…their racing started to gather some traction and they wanted to sponsor a charity.  Our Nantan (Cookie) threw out that NLB would be a great group because of our current relationship.

As that relationship grew some more HIM’s from over at the Rubicon wanted to go even deeper.   Pitstop, Lefty, and Hasselhoff  were the masterminds behind getting a beatdown/social at NLB.  They threw out the idea about bringing the workout to NLB and doing lunch.  And the rest was history.  Huge props to these guys and all the guys mentioned above for being the leaders that they are in F3 and our community.

Warm-O-Rama:

After a brief explanation of F3 by pitstop YHC got the pax moving over to the industrial parking lot across the street from the bound.

Quick explanation of cadence calls and we were off.  12 SSH’s, 12 Weed Pickers, 10 Squats, and 10 Merkins.  After the warm up we mosey to the next parking lot over.

The Thang:

We started off with a Dora.  Everyone partnered up and did 100 Merkins, 200 Squats, and 300 LBCs.  Everything was going smoothly except for the name tags we put on were flying off all over the place.

After the Dora we mosey to another parking lot for Jack Webbs.  1 to 4 Merkins and Air Press.  We went all the way up to 10 Merkins and 40 Air Press.

After some complaints about our arms being sore I introduced our FNG’s to Jack Webbs cousin Lieutenant Dans.  Same ratio except for this time it was Squats and Lunges.

Well we couldn’t forget about our core so we finished with a few rounds of Captain Thor.  Same ratio but this time it was Big Boy Situps and Russian Twists.  We went up to 5 and 20.

With time running back we headed back to the flag.

COT:

Prayers for G – Strings Mom as she battles Cancer, prayers for cattle prods wife as she is pregnant, and prayer for a nlb resident that just left the program (Mike I believe).  Prayers for a continued fruitful relationship between NLB and F3/Thundermeat.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

What a day!  Everyone I spoke with was blown away by this experience.  Thanks again to Pitstop, Lefty, and Hasselhoff for making this happen.  And to all the guys that put this ball in motion years ago.  Truly humbled that I was asked to lead this beatdown today.
