Preamble:

Kicking off a string of Q’s at the Rubicon during the first quarter of 2021. What better way to start than with the captains … including the intro of a brand new captain.

Warm-O-Rama:

We ran over to the flagpole for an IC warmup of SSH, weed pickers, windmills and arm circles.

The Thang:

We ran down to FOD for our first captain … Captain America. 1 to 4 ratio of burpees and Alpha count ski jumpers. Worked out way up to 10 burpees and 40 ski jumpers. Just for fun, we then did an animal crawl around the bases. Crab walk to 1st, bear crawl to 2nd, reverse crab walk to 3rd and cheetah run home. Once all were in, we circled up around the pitchers mound for our 2nd captain … Captain Thor. 1 to 4 ratio of sit-ups and Alpha count American Hammers, again up to 10 and 40.
At this point, hands and butts were near frozen from so much time on the frosty turf, so we ran up to the parking lot by the pool entrance to get the blood flowing again. our 3rd and final captain of the morning was a new addition to the mix courtesy of a request by Millertime for monkey humpers … Captain Ham.  Ham was the first chimpanzee launched into space. Although not officially a captain, he was the only living thing in his rocket, so I deemed him as such. Captain Ham is a 1 to 3 ratio of squats and monkey humpers. These we also took to 10 and 30. Somewhere around set 7 the monkey got overly excited and ripped out a mating call. Luckily no police were called. Our final sequence for the morning was a 4 corners of mercans (Hasselhoff was really getting concerned with the lack of mercans in the BD). 20 reps each corner with standard mercans, offset right, offset left and diamonds. With a couple minutes of round robin Mary we hit time.

COT:

Prayers of healing for Andy and Phil. Praise for a new job about to start.

Naked-Man Moleskin:

Great see such a large group out even in frosty temps. Our somewhat recent guys added over this past year are true HIMs not to be deterred.
